The Village Hall is maintained and run by the Heyshott Cobden Hall Charity.  The Charity was set up in 1947 as provided for in the will of Jane Cobden, daughter of Richard Cobden.  The prime object of this Charity was to provide a Village Hall for the use of the inhabitants of the Parish of Heyshott and its neighbourhood. Please see below for hire charges.

The Heyshott Cobden Hall Charity –Registered Charity No: 1026649

Charges for booking the Main Room and/or the Dudley Room

 

  • Village Organisations: no charge
  • All other bookings: £15.00 per hour, with a minimum charge of £30.00
  • Registered Charities will not be subject to the minimum charge
  • Organised Groups of Walkers staying overnight: price per head by application with a minimum charge of £50.00 per night
  • Supervised groups of children or young people: £10.00 per night

Hire of Equipment:  All breakages must be paid for

  • Coloured crockery taken out of the Hall: £10.00 per day
  • White crockery taken out of the Hall (Village only): £6.00 per day
  • Cutlery taken out of the Hall (Village only): £6.00 per day
  • Wine Glasses: £10.00 per day
  • Heavy Duty Plastic Trestle Tables taken out of the Hall for private Village functions: £3.00 per table per day, and a £50.00 returnable deposit (the Gopak tables are not for hire)

Applications for Bookings should be made to the Caretaker, Mrs Gonzales on 01730 816871

If an advance booking is cancelled, the Committee reserves the right to make a charge if any expense has been incurred or another booking for the same time has been refused before the cancellation was notified.

Hall users must comply with the Health and Safety requirements in the Hirer’s Pack or on Notices displayed in the Hall.  The Health and Safety file is in the cupboard near the fireplace in the Dudley Room.

All Users are requested to leave the premises in the condition in which they found them.
